A full refurbishment brings together almost every trade we have: strip-out, structural alterations, plumbing and electrics, plastering, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and decoration. Getting the order right is what keeps a renovation on time — first fix before plaster, plaster before floors, floors before final decoration.

How we run a refurbishment
Our renovations follow the same clear sequence, adjusted to your home.
- Home visit — we survey, discuss what you want and agree the scope.
- Written quote — clear and itemised, with a programme.
- Protection and strip-out — floors, routes and rooms you are keeping are protected.
- First fix — structural work, plumbing and electrics.
- Plastering — walls and ceilings made good or re-plastered.
- Fit-out — kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and joinery.
- Decoration and handover — final finishes, a snag check and a clean handover.
Recent refurbishment work
A recent full home refurbishment combined fresh flooring, detailed finishes and carefully restored features to completely refresh the property while keeping its original character. Another followed a water tank leak and included full re-plastering, redecoration, ground-floor tiling and first-floor LVT — you can walk through it in our projects.
Permissions
Most internal refurbishments do not need planning permission, but structural changes, work to flats and maisonettes, and properties in conservation areas or listed buildings can be different. Building Regulations still apply to structural, electrical and some plumbing work, and we coordinate the necessary sign-offs.

Can we live at home while you renovate?
Usually, yes. We phase rooms so essentials stay usable, protect floors and routes, and clean down every day.
How long does a renovation take?
As a guide, a single room refresh is often one to two weeks and a two-bedroom flat four to eight weeks; whole-house programmes are longer. You receive a written programme with your quote.
How is the price worked out?
We price after a home visit and a clear brief. The quote reflects size and condition, level of finish, kitchen and bathroom work, structural changes and access.
Do you handle everything, or subcontract?
Our own team carries out the building, plastering, tiling, flooring, carpentry and decorating. Gas and notifiable electrical work is carried out by suitably registered engineers, with certificates at handover.
